Cashmere

The Cashmere comes from the hair of a species of goat (goat of Kashmir) capable of withstanding the temperatures of the lonely and isolated local populations from the mountains of Tibet, the Himalayas and the region of Xinjiang in China, areas with temperatures of up to 30º below zero, and in high mountain regions of Mongolia where they are bred by nomadic pastoralists.

To survive these goats develop an outer layer of thick, long and straight wool; under this layer they have a short and delicated fluff which is generted by their body based on the rigors to which the animal is exposed. The colder and more close to the summits, the greater is the fineness of this material, the more valued, above all is the one who comes from the area around the neck of the goat.

These goats graze in the high mountains of Mongolia, Nepal, Tibet and China is the world's largest producer followed by Mongolia.

The cashmere wool differ from each other not only by their place of origin. On the one hand the artisan collection, when the shepherds in the spring before moving the hair, they brushed them to remove the fine hair under the first layer, which is of high quality and value in the market. In other areas where also the Kashmir goats are bred in large herds, they are sheared and then through a manual process of selection are separated some wool of others.

So depending on the microns that has this fine hair of the second layer and the length of them, such as the purity of its fibers, make cashmere prices differ so much. In the same way in the clothing already made, depending on the quality and quantity of thread, so the prices will differ.
